Artificial intelligence has become a part of our everyday life. It helps us to complete tasks and generally makes our work easier.

There are a few chatbots, but Grok AI stands out between them.

If you are unsure of how to use Grok AI, don’t worry. This article will help you with both.

What is Grok AI? 

Grok AI is an AI chatbot project created by xAI, a firm owned by Elon Musk. 

Knowing this makes sense that the AI can have a natural conversation with you, answering questions other chatbots might not. 

This is because Grok gets its information from X, so all the information is fresh, and some responses may be sarcastic.

This only adds to Grok AI's freshness if you want to spice up your stories.

How can I access Grok AI?

If you are a US X Premium+ Service subscriber, I have great news. Unfortunately, to use Grok AI, you must be in the US and have an X Premium+ subscription, which costs $16 monthly.

Hopefully, it will soon be available to everyone.

How to use Grok AI?

If we want to use Grok AI, we first have to find it. To do that, you need to go on X. 

If you have X Premium+, you'll see Grok when you open the menu bar and right-click under Messages. Click it. 

If you don’t have X Premium+, you’ll need to upgrade your subscription. Then, when you open X again, open the menu bar, and you’ll see Grok.



Once you click Grok, you’ll see the following screen. The hashtags will be different for you as Grok gets his based on what is currently trending: real-time data. 

You can click any of the suggested hashtags, and Grok will give you information about them. If none of them are interesting to you, you can ask Grok something else.



You might have noticed that it says Fun Mode and an arrow on the top of the screen.

If you click it, you can choose between Fun Mode, Regular Mode, and Grok version 1.5. But what do they mean? In Fun Mode, Grok AI uses a more natural voice. 

It’s funnier and edgy, and it can even roast you. 

In Regular Mode, the answers given are more professional and severe. Grok version 1.5 is more advanced than the Fun Mode and Regular Mode. 

It can understand pictures and text and can answer questions about them. Unfortunately, you can’t use Grok version 1.5 just yet. For now, you can choose between Fun and Regular Mode.



I like fun and quirky responses, so I chose the Fun Mode, but you can choose whichever you prefer. 

Since AI tools are popular right now, I wanted to know the best AI tools, so I asked Grok for a simple hashtag. As we can see, Grok gave me a list of 10 AI tools and told me what I can use them for. This response is based on real-time information and feedback the tools have gotten on X.



We mentioned that we can use Grok for anything, but in case we are not sure, we can ask Grok what it can do, again. This time, let’s do it in Regular Mode.

The first thing you can notice is that this answer is a little bit more formal and complex than the question about AI tools. 

The second is that for this answer Grok gave us a summary of the text as well. 



One thing that is the same for both answers is the disclaimer at the end, where Grok AI reminds you to use these tools responsibly and ethically.

This disclaimer is because of reason number 2 from our previous question. 

Grok can answer spicy questions that other AI might not want to. Spiderman said that with great power there’s always great responsibility, so make sure that you use the power Grok gives you not to harm others.

What are the benefits of using Grok AI?

Using Grok AI has many benefits, and I have already mentioned one. Having real-time updates makes Grok AI incredibly powerful because the information may be biased, but it will never be old. 

Knowing Elon Musk, we expect Grok to represent him, so it’s no wonder the chatbot is witty and sarcastic. This makes it fun to use, especially when you need something to brighten your day.

Grok AI is also great at handling multiple tasks at once, and it’s even integrated into VS code so that it can help you with your coding as well.
