The Tonal smart gym equipment itself costs $3,995, while essential accessories such as smart handles, a bar, a rope, a bench, a roller, and a mat add an additional $495. This initial outlay does not include the necessary Tonal subscription, which is $59.95 per month with a mandatory 12-month commitment. The Tonal team is led by Aly Orady, the founder and Chief Technology Officer, who initiated the company with a vision to integrate advanced technology into home-based strength training.
