Morph Studio, with its AI filmmaking platform named Morph Studio, has revolutionized the process of creating films using Stability AI–generated video clips. The platform adopts a user-friendly storyboard approach, allowing individuals to craft and edit shots effortlessly by entering text prompts for different scenes, resulting in a cohesive narrative.

Central to this creative process is Morph's partnership with Stability AI, but the platform envisions expanding its offering with a variety of generative video models. Morph's custom model is also an available option, enhancing flexibility for users. Describing the workflow as a seamless integration of filming, editing, and post-production, Morph's co-founder, Xu Huaizhe, notes that AI has transformed traditional filmmaking, providing the convenience of re-generating shots directly on the canvas.

Originating from a team of computer vision PhD dropouts from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Morph Studio was founded in 2023. Xu Huaizhe acknowledges potential competition from CapCut, ByteDance's AI-powered video editing app. To establish a distinctive position, Morph aims to focus on fostering a vibrant user community and has customized its AI model to cater to creators' specific needs.

Currently employing around 10 people, Morph has garnered $2.5 million in funding from Baidu Ventures. The company's commitment to community-building was evident in its initial product, a platform for sharing AI-generated memes. Recognizing the significance of video-based online communities, Morph prioritizes refining its film production platform to cater to the evolving needs of its users.

Xu Huaizhe emphasizes that people appreciate the AI-generated nature of Morph's content, even if it appears slightly artificial. The platform's journey began with a Telegram group where users communicated solely through AI-generated GIFs. Recognizing the expressive power of memes, Morph has shifted its focus to enhancing its film production platform, catering to the growing demand for creative video content.
